LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Britney Spears has already taken her "Circus" tour across America, into Canada and is scheduled to perform in England this summer - but the pop princess isn't limiting herself to cities just north of the equator - Brit is headed down under.

According to Australian News, the pop star will bring "The Circus Starring Britney Spears " to Australia later this year, in her first tour of the country.

"All the promoters are vying for it, but the bottom line is she really wants to come here and she really wants to come here this year," Denis Handlin of Sony Australia told the paper. "I think the promoters are battling it out at the moment."

As previously reported on AccessHollywood, the pop princess' first tour in five years kicked off earlier this month in New Orleans - and according to fans, the show was worth the wait.

"She was amazing and she looked like she was having a blast the entire time," one fan told Access. "I haven't seen the spark that she had last night in a very long time! The 'it factor' that she lost is totally back."

Brit will play Washington, D.C. on Tuesday night and Pittsburgh on Friday.

Parents' group protests Britney Spears song

The Parents Television Council is warning parents about the Britney Spears song "If U Seek Amy" and urging radio stations not to broadcast it because the nonprofit organization believes it "would violate the broadcast indecency law" if aired between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Saying the title phrase quickly out loud produces a sound akin to spelling out the F-word, said PTC president Tim Winter. "There is no misinterpreting the lyrics to this song, and it's certainly not about a girl named Amy," he said of the track, the third single from Spears' new Jive album, "Circus."

"It's one thing for a song with these lyrics to be included on a CD so that fans who wish to hear it can do so, but it's an entirely different matter when this song is played over the publicly-owned airwaves, especially at a time when children are likely to be in the listening audience," Winter says.

Founded in 1995, the PTC describes itself as "a nonpartisan education organization advocating responsible entertainment." Jive was unavailable for comment on the PTC's advisory.

The controversy isn't stopping U.S. radio from playing "If You Seek Amy." Six top 40 stations have the song in rotation this week, enough to place the track at No. 92 on the Billboard Pop 100 chart. Leading the pack is WFLZ-Tampa, Fla., which has played it 19 times.

"We're confident the version of the song we air is not crossing any lines," program director Tommy Chuck told Billboard.com, adding that WFLX plays a Jive-created edit of the song that changes "Seek" to "See" as well as a jokey version in which morning host MJ shouts his name every time the word "Amy" appears.

Digitally, "Amy" has sold 107,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Madonna Orchestrates a Britney-Justin Reunion

Los Angeles (E! Online) – If there's one thing we can count on from Madonna, it's the making of a little music history now and again.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake will be performing alongside the Material Girl Thursday when her Sticky & Sweet tour touches down at Dodger Stadium, E! News' Ryan Seacrest has learned.

"They are going to be onstage performing with Madonna," Seacrest said on KIIS-FM host DJ BoyToy Jesse's Wednesday afternoon show.

Of course, while Timberlake and Spears have both collaborated with Madge individually, the exes haven't been spending much quality time together in recent years.

"If Justin and Britney end up on that stage with her...I don't know if I've ever seen anything quite like that before," Seacrest said. (And he's seen a lot—remember CĂ©line Dion performing with hologram Elvis on American Idol?)

Seacrest said he should have more details on his KIIS morning show tomorrow: "Expect some real serious surprises."

Madonna has a history of sharing the stage with hot young thangs: It was the veteran diva who brought Spears and Christina Aguilera together at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, when the popster duo teamed up for "Like a Virgin" and "Hollywood" and then took turns smooching the queen bee.

Now, if Madonna ends up working that kind of magic with Brit and J.T., watch out.

Britney's New Single Pushed Back

Fans waiting to hear Britney Spears' new material are going to have to wait a little bit longer.

"Womanizer," the first single from the pop princess' sixth studio album, has been pushed back in order to finalize the audio mix, a rep for Jive Records told Access Hollywood.

The single was previously due for release on Monday, Sept. 22. A new release date has not been revealed, though Brit will reportedly perform the song in December on Simon Cowell's U.K. reality show, "The X Factor."

Fans are anticipating a big comeback from Brit after the star earned three awards, including Video of the Year, at the MTV VMAs on Sept. 7 for "Piece of Me," a single from her 2007 album "Blackout."

Miley Cyrus Inspired By Spears Family

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Miley Cyrus says her family draws inspiration from another celeb family -- The Spears'!

The pop powerhouse Cyrus family draws inspiration from another celeb-filled family, the Spears', according to Miley.

"We're so excited for them and their family just coming out. So empowered," Miley said of the Spears family. "We just feel so inspired by their family."

At Sunday's MTV "Video Music Awards," Miley told Access Hollywood's Mel B that the Spears' and Cyrus' are close.

"My mom and [Britney] are like great, great friends," The "Hannah Montana" star told Mel B.

Miley was also inspired by her own mom at Sunday's awards show -- inspired to borrow a pair of her mom's shoes for the red carpet

"I'm adjusting to these shoes, they're too small!" Miley said with a tinge of discomfort. "They're my mom's. Not good!"

Not letting the inspiration stop with just the Spears family, or her mom's fashion sense, Miley said her Zac Posen dress made her want to dance in the middle of the red carpet.
"I feel like --I'm like dancing -- like salsa!" Miley added.

Celebs On Britney's VMA Sweep: 'Amazing!'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The stars have spoken - Britney is back.

"[Britney] was amazing," "Hills" star Lauren Conrad told Access Hollywood backstage at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, where Brit picked up her first Moonmen ever, after 16 previous losing nominations. "I was hoping for a performance, but that's just because I'm a Britney fan."

While she didn't sing on Sunday, Britney won the awards for Video of the Year, Best Pop Video and Best Female Video and wowed the crowd in a silver mini-dress.

"I'm so excited that she won," Paris Hilton told Access moments after handing the pop star one of her trophies. "I actually just presented her an award, so I'm so happy for her, she definitely deserves it."

"She was great, she was great," added "HSM3" star Ashley Tisdale, clad in a silver mini-dress of her own. "She looked really beautiful."

Even host Russell Brand, whose controversial jokes about the Jonas Brothers' purity rings set off remarks from Jordin Sparks, had kind words for Brit.

"I like Britney winning the awards," he told Access, naming her victories the highlight of the show. "This is the resurrection of Britney Spears."
